Members of the Appalachian Bear Rescue organization (Townsend, TN) will discuss bear habitats, food, and seasonal implications for humans who live in or visit areas inhabited by bears.
This program is part of the Library’s Discover Earth: Our Changing Planet exhibition, which is available until April 27, 2016.
Kids, teens, and adults are invited to learn all about Appalachian Bear Rescue on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Library’s Main Gallery.
Appalachian Bear Rescue … has been returning black bears back to the wild since 1996. Each year black bears from our national parks and surrounding areas are orphaned, injured or in need of medical care. Thanks to Appalachian Bear Rescue, these bears are rehabilitated and released back to the wild.
