Coffee and Conversation with John Coykendall
A Master Gardener answers your questions about BCPL’s Seed Library
Friday, March 1, 2019, 10–11 a.m., Library Main Gallery
John Coykendall, Master Gardener at Blackberry Farm, seed historian and seed saver extraordinaire, will be here to answer your seed questions. Pick up coffee and a snack at the Bookmark Café and settle in for a great conversation with Mr. Coykendall in the Library’s Main Gallery. He will be available until 11 a.m. or so, for some fun and fellowship, talking seeds.
Coykendall has been saving seeds for over 50 years, and has much wisdom to impart. So bring your questions about seed saving and gardening and have a great time as the library celebrates the opening of the new Seed Library that is located in Adult Services near the Reference Desk.
You must have a valid Blount County Public Library card to check out seeds. Limited to 5 packs of seed per month. The library is, also, asking for seed donations. To get full information about the Seed Library go to the library’s informational webpage.
