Some plants are bullies! Blount County Master Gardeners will discuss several aggressive plants to be on the lookout for at a program at the Blount County Public Library on Monday, June 8, at 7 p.m. Most of the aggressive plants are outlaws and outlanders, brought to East Tennessee on purpose or by chance.
The program will go beyond kudzu and poison ivy, focusing on plants that home gardeners probably have in their gardens. Audience members are encouraged to ask questions about any plant issues in lawns or gardens.
Blount County Master Gardeners is an organization of trained horticultural volunteers with a mission of education who work under the direction of the UT Extension Service of Blount County.
Attend Monday, June 8, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in the Library’s Reading Rotunda, Main Gallery.
Free and open to the public, the program is sponsored by the Blount County Public Library, located at 508 N. Cusick Street, Maryville. For further information about library programs or services, call the library at 982-0981 or visit the Web site at www.blounttn.org/197.
