The Grace Notes Flute Ensemble will perform at Blount County Library on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 7 p.m. in the Reading Rotunda at the end of the Library’s Main Gallery.
Directed by Dr. Sue Swilley since 2003, the Choir is an ensemble of multiple types of flutes, from the piccolo to a six-foot bass flute. A retired Professor of Music at Carson-Newman University, she teaches flute privately and is an Adjunct Professor of Flute and Flute Choir at Carson-Newman College and Maryville College.
Organized 18 years ago, Grace Notes Flute Ensemble reaches out to all ages by being strongly committed to enriching and expanding the musical education of youth through performances and teaching. Their membership is open to capable young flutists. The group has also performed as the Grace Notes Flute Choir.
