Jane Austen’s humorous romances have thrilled readers for more than 200 years. Celebrate courtship and love in Austen’s works at the Library on Saturday, February 24, 2018, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Scones & tea will be served. Costumes related to the Jane Austen era are encouraged.

Class, Conduct and Courtship in Pride and Prejudice presented by Dr. Hilary Havens, Asst. Professor of English at the University of Tennessee Knoxville.
17th and 18th century English Country Dances – (demonstrations and teaching) with the Lark in the Morn English Country Dancers and music by The Lark in the Morn Consort, with narration by Karan Dotson.
This event is sponsored by the Blount County Friends of the Library and is free in the Main Gallery, Reading Rotunda and in the Sharon Lawson Room.
